The Air & Space Forces Association (AFA) Wright Memorial Chapter (WMC) believes that recognizing those who educate America’s youth is a vital part of AFA’s mission. The Teacher of the Year (ToY) Program pays tribute to the dedication and accomplishments of exceptional educators who inspire the next generation of innovators, leaders, and Air & Space professionals.
- Honors STEM Educators: Recognizes K–12 teachers who ignite students’ passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
- Multi-Level Recognition: Begins with Chapter awards and advances to the State level, with the top honoree eligible for the National Teacher of the Year distinction.
- Nationally Sponsored by Rolls-Royce: Provides awards such as cash prizes, plaques, and professional development opportunities for deserving teachers.
- Focuses on Impact: Celebrates educators who not only excel in the classroom but also inspire students and strengthen their communities.
